3 Rules of Interactive Content
Although bloggers devote a large part of their time to research processes while preparing an article on a subject they value, the most important factor that makes the article valuable is that they can always blend their experiences with these researches.
In this article, based on my own experiences, I would like to share with you the 3 rules that you should pay attention to in the interactive content production process that I have gained with a little bit of research and that I believe that recycling will increase in the short term.
I hope it will be beneficial for people who are interested in social media management or content marketing to consider these rules in their content production processes by adapting them to their sectors.
Before moving on to the steps you need to pay attention to in interactive content production processes, I want you to ask yourself what are the factors that trigger you to interact with a content, that is, to comment, share, recommend or read.
During the day, you see dozens of content on your Facebook, Twitter or Instagram accounts, but while you interact with some of them, you ignore many of them and leave them to disappear in your timeline. When I look at the event from my point of view, my criteria before interacting with a content are usually as follows:
- Is it related to a topic I like?
- Does it address a hot topic?
- Does the content image appeal to me?
- Is the topic reflected in an interesting way?
- Is the content funny?
- Does it include my interests?
- An article to inform me?
- Am i wondering
In general terms, these or similar factors are the first criteria for interaction of you and many internet users. Although it is possible to produce different variations of these questions for all sectors, the content that people do not hesitate to interact with has three main characteristics: Topic Selection, Humor and Design.
1- Topic Selection
Our most important criterion in the production of interactive content on the internet is, of course, to find a content topic that we can create creative content, attract people's attention and help in any subject. So, what should we pay attention to when choosing a subject?
You can be a brand owner or just a personal blogger for the platform you will create content on. The important thing here is to increase your interaction rate by producing content that can attract the attention of your followers, customers and new visitors. In order to do this, you generally need to include at least one of the 3 main factors in the article:
Agenda Topic: Regardless of the platform on which you will produce content, the simplest contents that people will not hesitate to interact with are those that contain a topic on the agenda or related subheadings. In the article you will create, you can directly address an issue on the agenda or associate an event on the agenda with your products or services in a way that will activate your social media channels. How Does?
For example, on October 21, 2015, the date Marty and the Doctor took time travel in the movie Back to the Future, it had a great impact on social media. Many brands have succeeded in presenting today in a fun way by combining them with their products and services.
Brand Issues: The production of "how-to" educational content about your brand, depending on the platform you produce content and the industry of your brand, is a great opportunity for both social media channels and for those who do research on the subject from different sources to find your brand.
For example, let's say you are a furniture manufacturer company. In the content you produce, the living room design, the small changes you can make in your home or the production of the contents directly on the production of the furniture will be highly interactive for both your current customers and for users coming to your site through different sources.
Topic of Discussion: In the interactive content creation process, perhaps the most beneficial but the most careful topic selection is the types of content that will create discussion. The discussion topics I mentioned in my article on Effective Social Media Marketing, which I wrote before, are the contents that can be of great benefit when presented in the form of comparison of your brand products or services, not to make your follower crowd one another.
For example, considering that you are a company on clothing, it is always better to compare two products dressed to the same person rather than comparing the clothes of two popular celebrities. Although the comparison of celebrities is higher in terms of interaction rate, as I mentioned before, no user will be your customer from the discussions that will arise. Instead, comparing two products you own on the same person will bring your products to the forefront, as well as attracting traffic to your site as it will make you wonder about the price.
Wherever you are in the world, as long as you do not provide service on a very sensitive subject, the humor used in your content will always continue to increase your interaction rate. The dose of humor used in your content should be adjusted according to your brand, followers and agenda.
Just as you should not use any humor in your content on the day when an event that deeply shook the country, your content should not have humor value on an ordinary day. Even though your humorous content can be interactive content in a short time, your followers may disconnect from your brand in a short time and create the perception that your business focuses only on humor.
However, I recommend that humor should not be used for every agenda topic, and you should thoroughly evaluate the reactions your followers can give during the content creation process.

Since design is a perception that can vary from person to person, from brand to brand or from sector to sector, the ideal solution is to present your content in a very creative and innovative way or to comply with design trends. At this point, although the choice is entirely up to you, I recommend that you work with your team or a designer on an innovative design suitable for your brand for better results. If you cannot create any design despite doing this, adapting the design trends appropriately to your brand will of course affect your interaction rates.
The biggest reason why Instagram, which is the leader of visual social media channels, is 2 times superior to Facebook content in a short time on the basis of interaction rate, is that people or brands tell what they want to tell directly through visual communication ways that people remember most.
You can quickly forget a funny text you see on Twitter, but if the content you see or watch attracts your attention, you can be sure that you will not forget it for a long time. I would like you to know that unforgettable designs will come to the mind of users intermittently in the future and when we think that the content is related to your brand, your site or social media page will be visited again and again.
